Days Hotel Baku 6 years old
Days Hotel Baku – we are already 6 years old!
First of November 2009 our hotel opened its doors to the guest arranging the Grand opening ceremony. This was a great day for all of us despite many issues we had to overcome to make it come true. Among 5 managers that have been involved into the opening, there were 3 who continue working at the property until now: the IT Manager Ilham Aliyev, the Housekeeping Manager Eleanora Abbasova and the Sales manager Rahib Ismikhanli.
Ilham Aliyev: I was 25 years old IT specialist employed in a bank, when I was invited for a 2 weeks task force in order to assist the hotel with installation of the property management system “Opera” and main Microsoft programs. The Management appreciated my work and offered a job in the hotel as the IT specialist. I agreed and never regret my decision.
Rahib Ismikhanli: In June 2009 I visited the hotel rooms, lobby, and the back office the first time and was impressed. This was the love from the first sight. Despite the fact that I was never working in a brand hotel I was sure that it will have a bright future and was willing to work for the property to make this come true.
I remembered very well our first guests from the ”Azersun” holding and the first group from the Boxing Federation. I also remember the Wyndham Hotel Group training held by Edwin Broers and the first Sophos Hotels training by Leticia Gianora.
Since the beginning we have very friendly staff and it makes me willing to continue working here.
Eleanora Abbasova: My carrier has started in the Hyatt Regency Baku as a Room Attendant. There I got promoted to housekeeping supervisor and had 5 years of experience when to the Days Hotel Baku as the Housekeeping Manager. It wasn’t an easy time: I was looking myself for housekeepers, provided laundry checks, made purchasing lists etc. But today looking back to the past 6 years I proud of my work and of being the part of this team.
